What do you think? …

Swann Polydor
I am glad to be working remotely from beautiful places in South East Asia so I don't have to go through this non sense, answering yes/no questions about "is this harassment?" I never thought it would feel that good to have the chance to just do my work.
Cody
@soueuls I think its more of legal protection for the company in case some one does something stupid. Then they can say: "See we trained them but they didn't listen". No one actually changes their mindset because of something like this.
Swann Polydor
@rdbrdd Yes, I know why it's used. Actually it does change some people's mindset, I, for example, would never work for a company (or in a country) where I am required to go through this thing. Since I am not 5 years old, I don't really intend to sit on my chair for hours, listening to someone lecturing me on harassment.
Swann Polydor
@jitesh_dugar We already have solutions for this 1. is this a light offense? => HR "you are deteriorating our company's culture, bla bla bla, it needs to stop or we will take measures against it" 2. is this a real offense? => HR "what you did is unacceptable, you are fired" 3. is this a serious offense? => The employee should report it to the police and the company sides with it. The problem with training is that it's pretty useless. It costs a huge amount of money. Innocent people don't need it. Serious offenders could not care less, they are pretty much aware what they are doing is not ok.

@jitesh_dugar @soueuls It seems you've never been on the receiving end of a lifetime of being told to stop complaining. You're spouting exactly the kind of stuff that is the reason a tool like this needs to exist (though of course the more applicable and realistic the training can be, the better).

It’s great to see a modern take on this. Very smart product, best of luck with everything!
EasyLLama
@cpgeiss thanks Christopher, this means a lot to us!

I think the US is taking this too far. It’s simple: don’t rape, don’t make unwanted sexual comments. That’s it. Very easy to grasp. What is the training needed for?
EasyLLama
@anna_0x thanks for your comment Anna. Well, this issue is not "simple", harassment does occur every day at work (and not just in the U.S. but I am sure in Germany as well) and it's not just about rape but also about discriminating someone because of their race, religion, age, or if they are pregnant for example. Here in the U.S. there has been many scandals in recent years, which has lead to the #MeToo movement, this is why EasyLlama was created, to make it simple to train your workforce in order to reduce harassment and discrimination at work and bring awareness as to what constitutes harassment and a hostile work environment that is poisonous. Hope this helps!

@anna_0x @lamaeasy 1. Harassment and discrimination are two very different things. We all discriminate. We discriminate between our potential lovers, we discriminate between colleagues, we discriminate between doctors, that's part of life. When you are starting out a new business, you only have the means to hire one person and then you need to train the new employee. 3 candidates shows up with similar qualifications: a 58 years old man, a 25 years old pregnant woman and a 25 years old man. Who do you choose? I know I would choose the 25 years old man, he is not going to be retired anytime soon and if all goes well I know he won't be out of the office for several months (up to 26 weeks in my country). 2. MeToo is not a good example. It's plagued with women like Asia Argento or Amber Heard who either lied or has sex with underage. 3. Your product is mandatory because of the law but you are contributing to the poisonous environment you are pretending to fight. Literally no sane and innocent person wants to be belittled and ideologically lectured about harassment while at work.
Anna Filou
@lamaeasy to be clear, I’m not judging your product. It looks pretty nice but it’s only necessary because of the laws in some states. So my comments refer to the laws and you’re not meant to belittle your product. With that out-of-the-way, I agree with the first point of @soueuls. As an employer, I would also choose the 25-year-old man for obvious reasons. But this product is specifically made to train employees in order to avoid sexual harassment, not just any kind of discrimination. That’s when I find particularly weird. I don’t understand how “training” people to identify sexual harassment as if they were preschoolers is supposed to help...

Hey Product Hunt 👋! This is Sam and Michael and we’re the founders of EasyLlama ! Thanks @katmanalac for hunting us. As entrepreneurs and former employees for large and well known organizations, we frequently had to do harassment training, but this was mostly outdated and boring, not really adapted to our generation and with real-life scenarios. It was usually not interactive and engaging enough. With this all in mind, we built EasyLlama. Our goal is to allow anyone to get trained on sexual harassment and work discrimination, including workers that don't have access to a desktop, through an intuitive and engaging experience we can all relate to. Here are some of the features of EasyLlama: - Our training is built by HR experts, we are fully compliant with training regulations (training is now mandatory in already 7 States including CA,WA,NY,IL,DE,ME,CT) - Works on any device: smartphone, laptop, tablet and there is no login required for employees - Fully interactive content, with real-life scenarios and videos - Full transparency for Managers, track progress and completion easily - Native integrations with your HR tools, starting with ADP and Gusto Our customers are diverse, including a lot of teams that want to help their team develop a better work culture and environment. I hope you like what we are building and would be fantastic to get your thoughts!

John Breslin
Wow, this product looks amazing! I run a business and this product could really help my firm make sense of preventing sexual harassment. I heard its also mandatory to do the training now. Will definitely sign up and give it a try today.
EasyLLama
@john_breslin thanks John for your comment ! Yes you are right, sexual harassment training is now mandatory in seven states (and more coming), thus it is imperative for companies to have an effective way to train their team, that's why we built EasyLlama. Let me know if you have any other questions :)
