EasyHomebrew: The Homebrew GUI that scans your Mac for CVEs

EasyHomebrew started from a small, uncomfortable realization: I'd installed dozens of Homebrew packages over the years and never looked at them again — and some of them had picked up known CVEs since. brew won't tell you that (brew audit checks packaging, not whether your installed software is vulnerable), and none of the existing Homebrew GUIs do either. So I built the app I wanted. EasyHomebrew is a native macOS interface for the Homebrew you already have — browse, install, upgrade, manage services with live logs, one-click brew doctor fixes. But the reason it exists is the security layer: it matches every installed formula and cask against a live vulnerability database, and a menu-bar agent re-checks on a schedule so a newly published advisory reaches you the same day, not at some audit you'll never run. To be upfront: there are good free Homebrew GUIs, and for click-to-install they're genuinely fine. EasyHomebrew is for people who also want to know their dev machine isn't quietly running something exploitable.
