Built for professional interpreters and anyone in a two-language conversation: DuoVox shows both sides live, what each person says and its translation, side by side in 4 boxes. It captions anything your PC plays (Teams, Zoom, Meet, WhatsApp, YouTube) with nothing joining the call, or people in the room via your mic. Free runs offline in 30 languages, no account. Paid plans add cloud AI and up to 43 languages; Professional adds full medical and legal word lists, a glossary and Private Mode.

Hi Product Hunt! I'm David, and I built DuoVox, first of all for professional interpreters: a live transcript of both sides of the conversation, in both languages, right beside you while you work, with medical and legal word lists, your own glossary and Private Mode (short video: https://youtu.be/JrTgGcbDwOA). It supports, and doesn't replace, a qualified interpreter, and it works just as well for anyone in a two-language conversation.
I kept seeing the same problem: most translation apps make two people take turns, tap buttons and pass a phone back and forth. I wanted something for real two-way conversations, including the Teams and Zoom calls on your computer.
DuoVox puts the whole conversation on one screen. Its 4-box view shows what each person says and the translation, live, side by side, so both people just talk. It listens to anything your PC plays (calls, meetings, YouTube, films), or to the people in the room through your microphone.
A few things I cared about:
- The Free plan runs entirely on your PC: 30 languages, no account, no internet, and your audio never leaves your computer.
- Paid plans add cloud AI for higher accuracy and up to 43 languages; Professional adds subtitle files (SRT/VTT), a glossary for names and jargon, and a Private Mode that keeps no local log.
- Automated captions and translations can contain mistakes, so please check anything important.
It's on Windows today through the Microsoft Store. I'd love to hear which languages and situations you'd use it for, and what's missing. I'll be here all day to answer questions.
