After seeing the great reviews here on Product Hunt I was excited to support this startup! I downloaded the Chrome Extension as well as the desktop app. After a few days, I realized nothing was being tracked. I sent a chat message to the founder listed above in the comments. Initially, he was very responsive and helpful. After about a week or so more issues and inconsistencies became apparent. I stopped using it all together after I tried to log in and was met with error messages for days straight. I wrote the founder that the live chat widget intercom and stated that despite the nice User interface I would like to delete my account because our team needed software that was more stable. His response was to blame my computer (which was brand new) blame a VPN which I did not have enabled and to somehow blame me as the only user having any issues with the software. If someone has to write to you in the chat widget every 5 minutes, that means you need to conduct further beta testing! It should be seen as a benefit to you that I am pointing out various bugs so they can be addressed. I asked repeatedly about the privacy policies after learning from the owner it is not a US-based company. They are in Russia and Belarus. I have no issue with this but this information should be front and center on the home page especially when you are dealing with screenshotting programs and tracking software for your business! It was very buggy after 2 weeks still and would not allow me to log in for days. The founder kept trying to justify it so I just asked for an option to remove my information and any permissions associated with allowing them to screenshot my desktop. He became very defensive and pretended he had no way to remove me from the live chat widget which after some research required him to remove me a lead that was being considered a tracked user. I contacted the chatbox company and installed software to prevent being tracked and having to deal with abusive messages from a disgruntled developer in the future! I was very much taken aback that this was how the customer support was being handled. I just wanted to offer some perspective as to how things are handled when something goes wrong with DueFocus! I will gladly pay any of the more stable programs to ensure my data is not being sold to Russia or the Ukraine etc. without my permission. The prouduct does not work consistently, has multiple bugs, when I asked to delete my account I was unable to do so essentially allowing this company to have stored data of my desktop computer without a VPN as they requested. The owner was unprofessional and could care less whether or not there were issues! He actually blocked me after I requested multiple times to have my account and any stored permissions to do screenshots removed. The whole experience was a complete and utter Sit show! AVOID!
