DuckDollar is a free collection of personal finance tools that do the math most sites hide behind a paywall. Estimate your taxes, plan your FIRE number, track your net worth, or compare renting against buying, all in the browser with no account and no upsell. Open a tool and get your answer.

I built DuckDollar because I got tired of how annoying it was to do simple money math online. Every time I wanted to figure out a loan payment or a savings goal, the tools I found were either super old, locked behind a paywall, or asking me to make an account first. And they were all on different websites, so I'd have like six tabs open just to answer one question. It drove me nuts.
So I just made the thing I wanted. DuckDollar puts a bunch of finance tools in one spot and they're all free. No login, no fees, none of that. You open it, you use it, you get your answer, done. That's really it. I wanted it to feel fast and easy for anyone, even if you know nothing about finance.
Honestly the whole reason is I felt like nobody was making this stuff for normal people. You shouldn't have to pay a subscription just to run some numbers on your own money. So I built it myself and put it out there for free.

@duckdollar Upvoted. I like the focus on removing friction instead of adding more features, and keeping everything free without requiring an account is a nice touch. How are you making sure the financial calculations stay accurate as you add more tools?

@spotch_founder i use free API tools if needed and for the tax, I'm planning to update it annually

A simple way to export results as a CSV or PDF would make this so much more useful, especially for the tax estimator when I want to hand numbers to my accountant or keep records for my own files.

@nehirnpjk will consider that on the following updates thanks!

Love that everything works without an account. One thing that would make the FIRE calculator way more useful for me is a "what if I work part-time for a few years" scenario slider, so I can see how dialing back hours or taking a sabbatical shifts my timeline instead of only modeling a straight line to retirement.

ran the rent vs buy calculator with my actual numbers and it spat out a clear break-even point in like ten seconds, no sign-up wall. appreciate that the tax estimator is honest about what it can't handle for edge cases.

Love that you can actually use every tool without signing up or hitting a paywall midway through a calculation. The net worth tracker especially feels clean and considered, not like another bloated spreadsheet clone.

love that everything runs client-side with zero sign-in, makes it genuinely painless to pop in, grab a number, and get back to life without handing over an email or staring at a pricing page.

Love that it just opens straight to the calculator with zero signups or popups. The no-upsell, no-account approach feels refreshingly honest for a finance tool.
