Hey Product Hunt! I’m Ethan, the maker of DubTab. I built DubTab because I often wanted to follow videos, live streams, and online talks in other languages without being glued to subtitles the whole time. Subtitles help, but they can also be tiring — especially for long videos, live content, classes, or meetings where you just want to listen naturally and keep up. So I made DubTab: a browser extension that does real-time voice translation and AI dubbing for any tab. You can use it on videos, live streams, online courses, meetings, and more. It also supports bilingual captions, so you can still cross-check the original when needed. A few situations I had in mind while building it: 1. following live news and global events on YouTube in real time 2. understanding online classes or talks in another language 3. joining cross-language meetings with less friction 4. learning languages with both dubbed audio and captions together My goal was simple: make foreign-language content feel more natural and accessible, not like hard work.
