Most Android terminals today still feel like they were designed in the early 2000s—clunky, dated, and frustrating to use on a modern touchscreen. As a solo developer, I wanted something different. I wanted a terminal that feels like a 2026 native app: fast, fluid, and s1mple.
I built DTerminal with Jetpack Compose to bring a modern UI/UX to the command line. But it’s more than just looks. I was tired of re-typing complex commands on a mobile keyboard, so I focused on a Script-First approach where your workflows are saved and ready to run.
