Yelp tells you which restaurant is good. Google says it's open. droPINion tells you what a real person felt standing there. Drop a pin anywhere — not just businesses. A hidden café, a sunset spot, a sketchy ATM, the best bench in the park. Add your thoughts, a photo, comments. What makes it different: • Map-first social feed, no infinite scroll • Pins from people you follow, not corporations • Every coordinate is a story waiting to be opened Geotagged opinions from real humans.

Hey Product Hunt 👋
I'm Hakan, the maker of droPINion.
This started with a small frustration: I'd walk past a quiet café I loved, or a corner with the best sunset in the city, and realize there was no way to "save" that feeling somewhere my friends could find it. Google Maps shows ratings. Instagram shows pictures. Neither shows what a real person felt standing in that exact spot.
So I started building droPINion — a map where you don't review businesses, you drop opinions. A pin can be anywhere: a restaurant, a park bench, a sketchy alley, your favorite reading rock. You add a thought, a photo, and your friends can see the world through your pins.
The hardest part wasn't the map — it was deciding what NOT to build. I cut star ratings, cut categories, cut the "discover nearby" feed. I wanted droPINion to feel like a personal journal pinned to coordinates, not another review platform.
It's still early. There are rough edges. But if you've ever wished a place could remember how you felt there, I'd love for you to try it.
Happy to answer anything — feedback, criticism, weird ideas, all welcome 🙏
