Drone laws in the US are quite non-trivial. I was given a ticket for flying my drone at a spot that was marked safe, but local rulings suggested otherwise. State parks are sometimes legal, national forest are but national parks are not. This space is super complex and I believe crowd-sourcing it and making users report it instead is the best approach. Drone Trails is an attempt to do this. With over 500+ trails, it is a comprehensive app to navigate this space.
