DriveHub turns any car into a connected one. Plug in a $15 Bluetooth OBD-II adapter for live engine data, fault diagnosis with repair-cost estimates, automatic trip scoring, and an AI driving assistant — all native on CarPlay, not just your phone. Built this because every OBD app felt like an Android port stuck on iOS. DriveHub is iOS-first: CloudKit sync, a CarPlay cluster refreshing twice a second, dashcam with auto crash-clip protection, and one-tap SOS.

Maker here! 👋 I built DriveHub after being frustrated by the fragmented experience of managing my car. OBD-II diagnostics, AI assistant, CarPlay integration — all in one app. Happy to answer any questions!
Does the $15 adapter actually work with any OBD-II port, or are there cars or model years where it won't connect properly?
@mihriban1580118 Great question! The short answer is yes — any ELM327-based Bluetooth OBD-II adapter works with DriveHub. The OBD-II port has been standard on all cars sold in the US since 1996 (EU since 2001), so if your car is newer than that, you're covered.
The $15 adapters on Amazon (search "ELM327 Bluetooth OBD2") work well. A few tips: make sure it's Bluetooth (not WiFi) since DriveHub connects via BLE, and avoid the very cheapest clones — a ~$15–25 adapter from a brand with good reviews is the sweet spot.
The main edge case is some European makes (BMW, Mercedes, VAG group) that use manufacturer-specific PIDs alongside standard OBD-II ones — DriveHub reads all the standard PIDs fine, but some brand-specific data may not be available.
The CarPlay cluster updating twice a second is genuinely impressive — way smoother than the basic gauge apps I've tried. Glad someone finally built an OBD tool that doesn't feel like a relic.
@gol_sar33694 Thank you, this means a lot! The 2Hz update rate was something I was obsessive about — most OBD apps poll once every 3–5 seconds which makes the gauges feel laggy and useless while driving. Getting CarPlay buttery smooth took a lot of tuning. Really glad it shows. If you have a chance to leave a review on the App Store it would mean the world for a solo-built app on launch day! 🙏
