DreamOS

Hey guys I'm Jack Kim and I’m the founder of DreamOS, and we're tackling the problem of how to make crypto easier for new users. Crypto wallets are the gateways to web3 - we're your first touchpoint for everything you do in crypto. But it feels like the tools we have today like Phantom and Metamask just drop you off in a foreign country with no explanation about where to go, what to do, or how to do it. And given their very small, limited UI, there's not much room for figuring things out on your own. There's a LOT to learn about crypto before you can get comfortable on-chain, things like public keys, private keys, seed phrases, the different blockchains and respective ecosystems, EVM vs Solana, and even once you've figured most of that out - the next problem is what is there to even do in crypto? There's no "place" to discover new dApps. It's sketchy to click around on Google, you can get phished or scammed, it happens so frequently that we in the industry call it a rite of passage these days. In some ways I think the crypto industry faces a lot of the same UX issues that early PCs faced - the clunky programs, bad UI, the technical knowledge required to use. And if a user friendly OS was such a powerful solution for PCs - so much so that even 40 years later we still pretty much use the same interface, then why couldn’t it be the same for crypto? Today, most everyone in the world, even your grandma I’d bet, knows how to use a computer interface. So thats why we designed our crypto wallet as an OS. DreamOS is the wallet you already know how to use. A webOS where the wallet doesn’t feel like a separate app, where we provide a dApp store for new users to discover dApps across chains, and all of the different blockchains and wallets are aggregated into one interface. DreamOS is all just one user experience - its all just crypto. It's the easiest wallet for new users to start their crypto journey. The easiest wallet for you to onboard your friends with. With DreamOS, there’s not as much “stuff” to explain about crypto and there’s a lot she can learn just by herself. There’s a dapp store with verified links, there’s usernames so she doesnt have to touch her public keys, and we’ll have guided tutorials directly inside the app for how to do everything. It took me, a pretty tech savvy person, 3 months to get comfortable on-chain with phantom. My grandma could never do it. With DreamOS, my grandma will be up and running in 2 weeks. The slickest, most exciting crypto wallet demo I've tried. Very excited for continued development. Dream transforms the regular crypto wallet experience into a personal computing experience. This is both a boon for simplicity and for power users. Dream Usernames can eliminate a lot of the friction and dangers traditional wallet users experience. Oh and its multi-chain. This could be a real contender in the wallet space.

saw the demo a couple weeks ago. seriously next level stuff here and one of the few products in crypto actually innovating and *trying new things*

Having used the beta I can honestly say that dreamOS is a game changer. It revolutionises the user experience across all aspects of crypto, simplifying everything that a user needs to do. Think of the impact apple had with the iPhone, it is on the same scale, giving users a simplified experience whilst giving project owners and developers endless possibilities to tailor their products to the desired audience.
