DreamMuse is a reflective space where your dreams meet self-discovery. By journaling your nightly visions, it helps you connect the dots between your subconscious mind and your waking life, encouraging personal growth and goal setting.
Last Christmas, my wife gifted me The Book of Symbols, a reference book containing essays on symbolisms common in many cultures. Having been interested in psychology and the humanities in general, it was the perfect catalyst that inspired me to develop this app. It combines my passion for building things and my curiosity about consciousness.
DreamMuse is a full-featured dream journal that helps you find your own meaning in your dreams. For the curious, here's some of the features that we're proud of:
🌙 Dream Recording: Easily record and organize your dreams. With local-first design, core functions work even offline.
🤖 Self-reflection Companion: AI-driven insights help turn vague dream fragments into tangible goals, based on past dreams and conversations.
💌 Dreams to Actions: Transform dreams into actionable intentions with intention cards, revealing subconscious messages.
🎨 Visualize Your Dreams: Generate images from dream scenes or create custom prompts for visual retention.
🔍 Holistic Interpretations: Interpret dreams using current and past dreams, along with other relevant data.
✍️ Autofill Details: Save time with auto-generated tags while still having the option to create custom ones.
🔗 Powerful Tag System: Create, explore, and interconnect dreams, tags, symbols, and chats.
📅 Timeline and Calendar Views: Track and visualize dreams over time using timeline and calendar features.
🔎 Explore Symbolisms: Interpret symbols personally with guidance from a symbolism dictionary designed for personal exploration.
🃏 Explore Tarot Cards: Use tarot cards to meditate and draw insights in the context of your dreams.
📊 Comprehensive Data Visualization: Utilize data visualization tools for deeper insights into your subconscious mind.
What will you discover? We'd love your feedback.

@rammi I love the images!!
Having something visual adds a strong sense of permanence to something that I would otherwise forget by lunchtime.
My favourite launch of today by far!
This is an awesome app ! One concern however, as long as dreams may contain personal informations, how do we make sure the informations we give to the app remain private ?
@brijs Thanks! Aside from the necessary data processing with our external language model provider to generate insights, we do not share your dreams with any third parties. You may freely export your data at any time, and we provide a way to permanently delete your data on the device and on the server, should you ever feel the need to.
congrats on the launch 🚀 I'm definitely intrigued by that combo of the analysis with generating images to go along with it. How accurate have the images been in your experience?
@jonnymiles Thanks. I find the images adequately add a visual layer to dream remembrance. Naturally it won't perfectly match the images from the dream, but the focus was to provide a visual dimension to remembering dreams. We're planning to add integration with higher fidelity image generation model in the backend soon, so stay tuned!

Interesting.
Does it do voice recording?
What is the science behind the Tarot Cards? Won't it bias your own reflection on your dreams?
@jsteneros yes, it does voice recording.
For those who take Tarot sincerely, the app suggests Tarot cards related to the dream you're viewing, allowing you to meditate on the relevant symbolisms in the card and dreams. This could be a valuable exercise that could help you make associations between figures, symbolisms, and your own waking/dream experiences.
Congrats, great product idea! My son has extreme night terrors (aged 12) so I'd love to know, is there any science behind the interpretations of the dreams as you journal them?
Also if you wake in the night & journal a night terror, can the app block you from getting distracted & opening up a social app etc? Can it calm you for sleep instead?
I wish I had something like this when I was younger :) These days I'm not sure I would keep up with recording my dreams and trying to understand them. It seems really intuitive and a lot of useful features out-of-the-box! I like the most that you can try to recreate an image of the dream, and to have a personal assistant that can remind you if you had a similar dream before. This is very unique in my opinion! Keep it up & wish you all the best.
