DraftLight is a cloud-based screenwriting and pre-production studio for filmmakers, writers, and small production teams. Write properly formatted scripts, collaborate with comments, manage colored revisions, tag breakdown elements, schedule scenes, plan budgets, save locations, and generate call sheets without jumping between writing apps, spreadsheets, and production templates.
Hey Product Hunt — I’m excited to share DraftLight.
I built DraftLight because indie filmmakers and writers often have to jump between separate tools for screenwriting, notes, revisions, breakdowns, scheduling, budgets, locations, and call sheets. That gets messy fast, especially for small teams trying to move from script to shoot without a full production office.
DraftLight brings that workflow into one cloud-based workspace: formatted scriptwriting, line-level comments, industry-style colored revisions, breakdown tagging, stripboard scheduling, budgeting, location cards with maps, and call sheet generation.
There’s a free plan with no credit card required, and I’d genuinely love feedback from writers, producers, ADs, and indie filmmakers. What would make this more useful on a real production?
