Private AI Journal that helps you reflect. All data is stored on-device for maximum privacy. When using Apple Intelligence as the LLM, personal data never leaves your device. chatGPT, Gemini and Claude are running in the cloud, but will not store data or use it for training.

Congrats on the launch! 🚀 As a dev building offline-first tools myself, I love seeing more apps prioritizing on-device privacy. Journals are personal, so keeping data local makes total sense. Great work!
@sheena_soni No, it's using pre-trained models but you can provide context (which will be used for RAG)

Congratulations! .I like the privacy first positioning. For transparency, could you explain how “on-device” applies when cloud LLM APIs are used, and whether there’s a local-only mode planned?
@mohamedmushrafh Thank you! Only Apple Intelligence is running locally on device. It's a 3B params model with 4096 token context, so it's unfortunately not very smart. Or you select chatGPT/Gemini/Claude, they run in the cloud via openrouter.ai, however data is never stored in the cloud nor used for model training.
I'm looking forward to Apple integrating Gemini in a privacy-first way, both on-device and cloud/hybrid.

Really interesting project. Congrats on launching it here.
I don't do journalling myself ( maybe your app changes this haha ), but I have a colleague that does this a lot. I'm sharing the app with him.
Can the user share his goals with the app?
I love this habit ( from The 7 Habits of Highly Effective People ): "Begin With the End in Mind"
If the app know my goals ( the intended end of a journey ), it could be contrasting it against my notes, and sharing reflections that could help me get there.
@wilco_kruijer1 Thanks for the feedback! I do currently support export as json, css, markdown and pdf. Full control and ownership overall data for my users is key.
Lmk if you have any more feedback or Qs!

Congrats on your launch! Looks nice, but I have Android, if you an alternative for Android users or a way or how to do that, let me know

@marcelo_bottoni Thank you for sharing it! Adding goals a great suggestion! I'll implement it.
Right now, users can add general "personal context".
Cute little app! Would you ever consider adding export functionality? Or what that go against the philosophy?

@renatojobal Hi! I usually consider adding Android support once iOS gets to meaningful scale. Unfortunately, monetizing on Android is challenging :(
Congrats on the launch — love the on-device, privacy‑first spin on AI journaling 👏

@zeiki_yu Thanks so much for the feedback! I think Privacy is key for something like this.
