Dotgrid is a pack of minimal, native home-screen widgets with a clean dot-matrix look. Browse a gallery of designs in the app, tap to place, and customize each one - no third-party widget engine, no clutter.
The dot-matrix aesthetic looks way better than I expected, kind of retro without feeling kitschy. Tapping through the gallery to place widgets on my home screen was honestly super quick and clean.
Love the clean dot-matrix aesthetic and that everything is native without a clunky widget engine. One thing that would make this even better: let users create their own widget designs with a simple grid editor where you tap cells to toggle dots on or off, maybe with a few color options. Would open up so many possibilities beyond the preset gallery.
the dot matrix aesthetic is genuinely really clean and i love that it's all native without needing some separate widget app. one thing i'd kill for is an option to do slow scrolling text across the bottom row, like a ticker for upcoming calendar events or unread messages. would fit the whole pixel vibe perfectly
The dot-matrix aesthetic feels so much calmer than the usual neon widget overload. Really nice that everything is native and just taps onto the home screen without some extra app layer getting in the way.
