Okay, hate is a strong word. I ve used Miro for years and it s a great product. But as a DevOps engineer, it kept getting in my way, and eventually I got annoyed enough to build my own tool. Here s what pushed me over the edge:
1. My architecture diagrams were always lying.
I d spend an hour dragging boxes and arrows into a beautiful infra diagram. Two sprints later, half of it was wrong. Nobody updates a hand-drawn diagram after a Terraform change. The diagram and the system drift apart, and the board quietly turns into fiction.
2. Everything is manual.
I already have the truth in code: Terraform state, Mermaid in the README, Markdown docs in git. Yet I still had to redraw all of it by hand on a canvas. Copy-pasting from reality into a whiteboard felt backwards.
3. Presenting a board is awkward.
Frames-as-slides works, but walking people through a diagram step by step, highlighting one path at a time, means building a dozen frames by hand. And then you have the same content in two places.
Hey Product Hunt! I'm Deniss, a DevOps engineer.
I kept redrawing the same architecture in whiteboard apps while the truth lived in Terraform and Mermaid files. So I built Doska ā a shared whiteboard where every diagram is code:
⢠Write Mermaid / D2 / nwdiag ā real shapes you can drag; move a box and the code updates too
⢠Drop terraform show -json, Kubernetes or docker-compose ā an AWS diagram, plus a network check (SSH open to 0.0.0.0/0, overlapping CIDRs)
⢠Docs with live diagrams: runbooks and ADRs where the diagram is the board itself, so it never goes stale
⢠Connect Claude via MCP and ask it to draw or fix your boards
Try it without an account: getdoska.top/terraform ā files never leave your browser.
It's free, data is hosted in the EU. I'd love your honest feedback ā what would make you switch from your current diagram tool?
