Hello all, It is common knowledge that the life of a college student can be stressful due to many scheduling conflicts. This is why we have started working on the project dorm.works. Our main focus with dorm.works was to introduce college students to remote, paid internship opportunities from around the globe. Whether it be with Silicon Valley startups or international corporations, students with the right skillsets should have the opportunity to work with the companies they want to, when they want to, regardless of location. As a college student-athlete myself, I am located at a rural East coast university ten months of the year, and there is a very small window of opportunity to intern for some of the startups located across the country. dorm.works can be beneficial for students and student-athletes out there that often find themselves at school year-round. Students having an option to work remotely while still being able to live on campus for off-season training is a huge plus that college coaches will love! dorm.works is still a work in progress but we wanted to introduce it to the ProductHunt community and get some feedback. If this project gains the type of traction we are expecting, we will be looking to introduce paid internships through a full site and mobile apps!
