I arrived in Israel a few years ago, and met a brilliant, fascinating Israeli who had built an innovative technology to recognise the structure of documentation. The same way that you can hold a document a few meters from someone else, and they'll most likely be able to recognise the type of document without reading any of the data on the document - by recognizing the logo & the layout you'll know if it's a bank statement from XYZ, or an expense slip from your last Uber drive. I found the technology fascinating, and together we have built a company which helps bookkeepers (both internally in companies, and in Accounting / Bookkeeping companies) save time when working with financial documentation.
