Hi Product Hunt 👋 Anyone who works in Word, Excel and PowerPoint on a Mac knows the feeling: every file opens in its own window. With a report, two spreadsheets and a deck open, finding the right one means digging through the Window menu or Mission Control, again and again. So I built DocTabs: a small bar with one tab for every open Office file. Click a tab and that file jumps to the front. The bar shows up only when Word, Excel or PowerPoint is in front, and you can pin it, filter by app, reorder tabs or fold it into a tiny logo. A few things I cared about: • It reads only the names and locations of your open files, never what's inside • No account, no sign-in, and it's free • Speaks 9 languages: English, German, Spanish, French, Mongolian 🇲🇳, Russian, Japanese, Korean and Chinese. It follows your Mac's language by default DocTabs isn't in the Mac App Store (its sandbox doesn't let one app control another), so the first launch needs one extra click.
