Hey Product Hunt! 👋 I built this extension because I found myself constantly reaching for Vim commands while writing documentation in Google Docs. After years of using Vim, these keyboard shortcuts have become muscle memory, and switching between different editing paradigms was breaking my flow. Key features: Full Vim navigation (h,j,k,l, w, b) Multiple modes (Normal, Insert, Visual) Text operations (d, c, y) Zero configuration needed What makes this different from other Vim-style extensions: Focused solely on Google Docs - optimized for document editing Native integration with Google Docs' operations Lightweight and performant No account or setup required Free and open source I'm actively maintaining this project and would love to hear your feedback! What Vim features would you like to see added? Are there specific commands you use frequently that aren't yet supported? For those new to Vim - if you spend a lot of time editing documents and want to boost your productivity, this is a great way to start learning Vim commands in a familiar environment. The extension is open source, and I welcome contributions from the community. You can find the source code on GitHub https://github.com/tirthd16/dockeys. Looking forward to your thoughts and suggestions! 🚀
