Hey Product Hunt. I'm the dev behind WinRansomProtect (got 4.9/5 on Softonic). Today I'm launching my second tool, DocRedactNow.
I built it because dealing with sensitive PDFs is a headache. If you've ever tried to remove a few client emails, you know how it is. Online tools want you to upload confidential files to their servers, which is a hard no for client data. And the desktop alternatives are usually huge enterprise software just to black out two lines of text.
So I just wrote my own. It's a native C# app. Only 12.8MB. Runs 100% locally. You drop your files in (PDF, DOCX, XLSX, TXT), and it wipes the PII based on 34 built-in rules. Batch processing works too.
It just got 4.5/5 on Softpedia. But honestly, I just want to know if it's actually useful for your workflow.
