Docframe: HIPAA-compliant cloud spreadsheet

Finally, after months of hard work, we’re officially launching Docframe - Cloud spreadsheets for managing sensitive data. We make it easy to build HIPAA-compliant applications without hiring software engineers. The Problem: Building HIPAA-compliant data management tools is too hard A couple years ago I was working for a Biotech company that did genomics/NGS testing for oncologists. I was a software engineer working on data pipelines. One super frustrating problem that we ran into was keeping our Sales, Lab and Customer Service teams in sync. Each team member had to sleuth through Excel files, Word docs, SaaS apps, and cloud drives to get basic things done. We tried to design a more comprehensive approach with tools like Smartsheets and Airtable, but it required juggling too many finicky formulas to keep our complicated data consistent and lacked the security features that we needed to manage our patients’ data in a HIPAA-compliant way. Eventually we decided to code up a custom app. 😩 Our Solution: Docframe Teams working on mission-critical applications that manage sensitive information, like Biotech and Healthcare, can build custom data management tools with the flexibility of a spreadsheet without sacrificing security. Rows can be explicitly linked to different tables without writing annoying VLOOKUP or INDEX/MATCH formulas. Every change to your spreadsheet is validated with custom rules your team defines, like required fields or unique constraints.
