Diu helps you stop hoarding with a simple loop: snap a photo, set a deadline, and commit when it’s time. Built for people who freeze at “keep or toss,” it replaces endless hesitation with a clear exit date—plus reminders, a satisfying “done” ritual, and optional partner mode so decluttering isn’t a solo battle.

Hey Product Hunt 👋
**What inspired me to build this?**
For a long time I kept noticing things in my life that were *there*—obvious, heavy, constantly on my mind—but never actually resolved. It felt like the elephant in the room, except it wasn’t only one room. I wanted a simple way to name what I was avoiding, give it a clear “handle-by” moment, and stop letting it live in limbo forever.
**What problem were we trying to solve?**
A lot of pain isn’t from lack of awareness; it’s from **no boundary in time**. Without a target and a deadline, “later” becomes a hiding place. Diu is my attempt to turn vague avoidance into something concrete: a goal, a date, and a path to closure—so the elephant doesn’t get to stay invisible forever.
**How the approach evolved while working toward this launch?**
It started from everyday life—physical clutter, postponed decisions, the small piles of “I’ll deal with this someday.” But the same pattern kept showing up elsewhere: a work thread I kept postponing, a study topic I never scheduled, habits and commitments I never put on the calendar. The product stayed centered on a simple loop—capture what matters, set a time boundary, follow through—but my own use expanded from “home” to **work, study, and life** as I realized it’s the same muscle: turning “exists but unresolved” into “defined and time-boxed.”
If you try it, I’d love your honest take:
- What’s *your* elephant in the room—and what would help you finally put a date on it?
- Where would you use this first: home, work, or study?
Thanks for reading—and for any feedback. 🙏
