Hey PH! I’m Dihad, a 16-year-old student, and I just spent 30 days in a "non-linear" development sprint with an AI co-pilot.
I built DiTeX because I was tired of staring at "Ugly LaTeX" while trying to finish my Grade 10 science homework. I wanted a tool that felt like LEGO but produced results that looked like a professional textbook.
The "Human + AI" Workflow:
I'll be honest: I didn't build this entirely alone. I used AI as my "Senior Architect." While I handled the UI design, the feature logic, and the core vision, I leaned on AI to help me debug complex math structures and navigate the "non-linear" chaos of the development process. It was like having a 24/7 mentor helping me turn my Grade 10 ideas into professional-grade code.
The Journey:
Over the last month, we’ve navigated some serious technical hurdles. We battled recursive nesting logic (making sure a fraction inside a square root doesn't break everything) and fought the "Unicode Wall" to ensure the editor feels fast and responsive.
Where we are now:
Today, I'm launching the Beta. It’s not "perfect" yet—I'm still polishing the nesting behavior and optimizing for every possible scientific edge case—but it’s ready to help students speed up their workflow.
