Hey Product Hunt! I'm Masha, Stanford alum and founder of Disto. Disto is a tool that analyzes questions asked in Slack to identify inefficiencies and roadblocks that slow down engineers. Existing engineering productivity tools show you which part of your development cycle is slow, but don’t show you why or what you can do about it. We built Disto to solve this problem. Disto groups together similar questions using LLMs and displays them in a dashboard ordered by frequency, so you can see the blockers with the most impact, or where there are opportunities for more training or documentation. People ask questions when they don’t know how to do something or when they are blocked. Because conversations that used to happen in person in the office are now digitized (sent on Slack), organizations now have a comprehensive record of these inefficiencies and how many people they affect. In our past lives, my cofounder Dahlia and I were software engineers at large companies. We were often slowed down for hours by recurring issues like a dev Airflow cluster being down.
