DiskPeek is a fast, no-nonsense disk space analyzer for Mac. It streams results while scanning, so you can start finding huge folders immediately instead of staring at a spinner. Delete something and totals update instantly. Finder-style navigation, keyboard-first controls, honest on-disk sizes, and privacy by design. No cleaner bloat, no account, no subscription. Buy it once and it’s yours.
Hey everyone,
I built DiskPeek mostly because I wanted this tool for myself.
Every now and then my Mac would be almost full, and I’d end up trying different disk analyzers just to answer a very simple question: what is actually taking all this space?
What bothered me most was the waiting. Start a scan, stare at a progress indicator, then eventually you’re allowed to look around.
So with DiskPeek I tried a different approach. It shows results as they come in. You can start exploring almost immediately, even while millions of files are still being scanned in the background.
I also wanted it to feel like a proper Mac app. Simple navigation, keyboard friendly, accurate disk usage, and no giant “clean your Mac” suite attached to it.
And I really didn’t want another subscription.
It’s a small, focused app that does one thing, and I’ve spent a slightly unreasonable amount of time making that one thing fast.
I’m very curious to hear what you think. And if you try it on some absurdly large drive, I definitely want to know how it goes :)
