Directories, especially for SaaS, can be a great source of traffic. People submit to and visit directories to boost visibility and check out interesting startups. With that, directory websites like Betalist are born, and they get a decent amount of traffic and money. Soon, there are too many of such directory websites to keep track of. So, people started collecting quality directories and selling the final list: a directory of directories. Soon, many are selling such directory of directories that it's hard to keep track of that. At least that's the experience from me. I got bogged down by all the directories and people selling directories that it became very messy. For example, on my desktop, there are multiple spreadsheets titled something like "50+ places to launch your startup". I decided to go to the third layer and create a directory for directory of directories.
