Hey PH! I built YayRemote – Digital Nomad Visas & Eligibility Wizard after getting whiplash from outdated blog posts and conflicting Reddit threads. I wanted one calm place to check eligibility, understand requirements, and move forward—without 40 open tabs.
What’s live today
- An eligibility wizard that gives you a quick read on whether you’re likely to qualify for each country’s nomad or remote-work program.
- Clean country pages (66+ programs across 10 regions) with the essentials only: requirements, dependents policy, duration, fees, and links to primary sources. We note when there’s no dedicated DN visa (e.g., France) so you don’t chase ghosts.
YayRemote
A focus on freshness—content is updated regularly and structured so changes roll through quickly.
How we built it
Started from government sites first, then normalized names (some countries label these as “remote work,” “temporary stay,” or repurpose existing categories like working holiday/freelance).
Designed the wizard around the blockers people actually hit: income thresholds, insurance, dependents, and time-zone/length rules.
Who it’s for
- Remote employees/freelancers.
- Teams hiring globally who want a first-pass sanity check before calling lawyers.
Roadmap I’m considering (tell me what to ship first)
- Cost-of-living & income calculators per destination
- Community notes from people who just applied/renewed
- Save progress + exportable checklists
I’d love feedback on:
- Which country page still feels unclear or too light?
- Any wizard question that felt ambiguous or missing?
- What would help you go from researching to submitting?
Thanks for checking it out—hope this saves you a few hours and a few headaches.
