Hello, Product Hunt!
Nolan Lindeke here, founder/creator of Didja.
If you're anything like me, you know how frustrating it can be when you fail to achieve your goals. There were countless times in my life when I tried to get into better shape, learn how to play a musical instrument or pick up a new hobby, but could never stick with those things long enough to see any meaningful results.
And then a few years ago, I discovered a crucial insight while working in Data Science:
Achieving a desired outcome is never about arriving at some destination in the future. It’s simply about increasing your odds of success on a daily basis by doing the activities that push you closer to your long term goal. In other words, accomplishing the daily activities becomes the goal in itself.
Inspired by this discovery, I created an app based on this one insight—an app that holds me accountable to my daily activities—and put it to the test. Finally, for the first time in my life, I was able to follow through on a fitness program and am now well on my way to building the physique I've always dreamed of having. I've also been able to stick with a meditation and gratitude practice—something I had never been able to do consistently before.
Since that first MVP, the app has gone through a number of iterations and beta tests, helping other users achieve their goals along the way. One long-term beta tester has been able to establish a consistent yoga practice. Another has been able to cut back significantly on their alcohol consumption.
I’m excited to now share the app with a wider group of users who are serious about following through on their goals. Early access with a lifetime membership is now available on iOS for $24 (the price will increase to $36/year once it goes live in the app stores over the next few months. Product Hunt community members get 20% off with code PRODUCTHUNT20). An Android version will also be available soon.
I've tried to provide as much information about the app in the slides above, but please feel free to ask any questions below. Any feedback is also appreciated. Thank you for your time and interest!
