DiagnosticsPay is the billing infrastructure for African hospitals. Doctors order tests, patients pay one aggregated bill, and our system instantly splits the funds to the respective labs and imaging centers. We are eliminating fragmented local payments and manual receipts.

DiagnosticsPay (DxPay) started as a hackathon project for Enyata x Interswitch. My team and I were looking at the massive friction points in local healthcare infrastructure. When navigating clinical environments, it becomes obvious that fragmented payments slow down patient care. Patients often have to make separate payments for different labs or imaging centers, dealing with manual receipts at every step.
We built DiagnosticsPay as a proof-of-concept to change this. The system allows doctors to order diagnostics, aggregates the cost into a single bill for the patient, and automatically splits the payout to the correct centers on the backend.
We are putting this out there because we believe the problem is too important to leave the code sitting in a private repo. I’d love your feedback on the workflow and how this kind of clinical billing infrastructure could be scaled. Happy to answer any questions!
