Bridging the gap between learning syntax and mastering engineering. DevReel is a "gym". We provide refactoring challenges where you can do your daily "reps" to keep your skills sharp. Get instant, AI-powered feedback on your code quality, not just pass/fail results.

Hi there! ๐
I'm a software engineer based in Japan.
I built DevReel as Beta because I realized something was missing in our industry.
Athletes have gyms to stay fit. Musicians have scales to practice. But developers? We mostly just read docs or watch tutorials. Once we finish a course, we stop "practicing."
DevReel is the Gym for Software Engineers. ๐๏ธโโ๏ธ
Itโs not about learning syntax; itโs about doing the "reps" to build muscle memory.
Practice: Tackle real-world refactoring challenges.
Feedback: Get instant AI analysis on readability, complexity, and maintainability (not just "did it compile?").
Growth: Track your stats and improve over time.
๐ฎ The Future Vision:
We are just getting started with code readability. My goal is to expand the "workout menu" to cover the entire spectrum of high-level engineering.
I plan to introduce more advanced training scenarios, including:
- Complex Refactoring: Taming large-scale, legacy codebases ("spaghetti code").
- System Architecture: Designing for scalability and modularity.
- Security & Performance: Identifying vulnerabilities and optimizing for latency/memory.
I want DevReel to be the ultimate training ground where you can practice every aspect of software craftsmanship.
Iโd love to hear your thoughts!
Is the "Gym" metaphor resonating with you?
What kind of "workout" (language/framework) do you want next?
Thanks for checking it out! ๐
