I've never been more excited about the future of decentralized social and the decentralized internet since the announcement of DeSo today. Everything about DeSo - from the team members, to the technology - genuinely empowers creators and the community. I have no doubt that DeSo will lead the way in powering the new creator economy for years to come. The possibilities and use cases for what can be built on DeSo are endless. I've been an avid user and hardcore BitClout enthusiast for the last 130 days, and launched my product, supernovas.app - a social NFT network powered by DeSo - less than a month ago. The future of NFT's is also social! I have no doubt this is just the beginning.

I'm really excited to be on the platform early - for those of us old enough to remember dialup modems and our ICQ numbers, for me, it really does feel like the early days of the Internet all over again. The community is friendly and engaging, and people are creating fun little side projects, plus big complex projects and everything inbetween. Every other day there is either a new update or feature pushed by the DeSo developers, or a community project that launches and breaks out. The pace of development and execution of their roadmap has been impressive. I'm looking forward to seeing where it goes.

Surely someone else sees what a terrible idea this is. I am not convinced that human nature will allow this to function as the creators say they intend. Let's take the one creation of humanity that provably amplifies the worst in us, and lets give it the permanence and immutability of the blockchain. Then lets build in some really strong financial incentives and remove all accountability. 🤔 What could possibly go wrong?
