But living through the devastation, I realized a terrifying flaw in modern technology: When a major earthquake strikes, the internet collapses and GPS becomes useless under rubble. In that chaos, our "smart" phones turn into bricks. That realization kept me up at night. So, I built Deprem Hub (Earthquake Hub) with a single mission: To create an Offline-First Survival Protocol that works when the grid goes down. Here is how we solve the "No Signal" problem: 1. Bluetooth Rescue Radar (The Killer Feature) GPS doesn't work under 5 meters of concrete. But Bluetooth does. I developed a feature that turns your phone into a Digital Life Tag. Victim Mode: Even without a network, your phone broadcasts a specific BLE (Bluetooth Low Energy) distress signal. Rescuer Mode: Anyone with the app can switch to "Scanner Mode." It detects the signal strength (RSSI) of nearby victims, visualizing whether rescuers are getting closer to you or moving away. It basically turns your phone into an AirTag for human life. 2. Smart Emergency Beacon A steady light isn't enough in the dust. The app uses a specialized algorithm that loops a rhythmic strobe light combined with a high-frequency whistle to help rescue teams find you in the dark. b 3. "I'm Safe" Offline Protocol When 4G/5G fails, the app grabs your precise coordinates, compresses them into a tiny SMS payload, and sends an "I'm Safe" status to your loved ones. 4. Personal Seismograph For the tech enthusiasts, I opened up access to the device's accelerometer so you can visualize tremors in real-time. I built this app solo, driven by the hope that no one ever needs to use these features—but believing that everyone should have them in their pocket, just in case.
