4-week ‘Intro to Deep Reinforcement Learning’ cohort-based course. Every week, complete interactive tutorials and apply what you learn by building an AI that plays an iconic game. Watch it compete with the cohort’s AIs in a live competition.
@oliver_kicks1 right now, prerequisite is to have a basic level of Python. We've run some Intro to Python competitions before though, and we'll have some more in future :)

Do you use TensorFlow or PyTorch or code everything from scratch? I'm doing some interview prep on the side for FAANG, would you recommend me this course?
@immanuelxiv In the first couple of weeks, it's all from scratch. Then we introduce PyTorch to do the heavily lifting when Deep NN's come in :)
I'd definitely recommend it! We had someone interviewing at Netflix on the last cohort
Hey Product Hunt! 👋
At Delta Academy we’re building the most motivating and fun cohort-based courses to learn machine learning. Our first course is a 4-week Introduction to Deep Reinforcement Learning - we’ve run it twice already and our 3rd cohort starts on 1st August. 🤖
Every week, in teams of two, you build an AI which competes with AI’s from the rest of the cohort on a well-known game - such as Pong, Wordle or 2048. Each requires you to learn something new - taught through 3 interactive tutorials released at the start of each week. 💪
We watch the AI’s compete live and afterwards, we discuss the approaches different teams took and we present how our expert solution works. You also have access to expert help from Delta throughout the week, plus a Slack group where you can chat with the rest of the cohort. 👩👩👧👧
We’re building Delta Academy because we’re bored of learning from online lectures. Often the biggest thing standing in our way of learning tricky technical topics was our lack of motivation and time.
Most online courses take your motivation for granted — we wanted to design Delta Academy to motivate you to make progress. Plus we’ve always enjoyed competitive projects and hackathons. 😁
We’re trying to create the most motivating way to learn entirely online. While Delta will start with AI, we think this model can be applied to many practical tech skills and plan to expand to other fields in the future. 🧠
Plus, we have a referral programme, so you can try out a week for free by referring a friend. Refer a smart one to improve your chances of winning the competitions! 👬
We hope you like it - tell us what you think in the comments! 😀

@matthewdelta awesome! Like robot wars for 2022. Love a bit of friendly competition 😈

Highly recommend this - I was able to take part in some sessions during the beta and it's such a motivating and engaging way to learn!

An infinitely better (nevermind 10x) experience compared to every other ML course I have come across 🤙

been there since the first day, found it on Reddit when they were trying to run the beta version, and never had the motivation nor the time to learn RL, neural networks, or just basic python, But since I get into this project I created the time and had enough motivation to start learning the things I wanted to learn years back, I only use their tutorials and the competition to learn, I don't have much time to do research, But I did notice the progress I'm doing, even though I'm a medical student still have the time to enjoy learning these topics

The format is interesting, though I haven't tried yet I would love to have one week of cohort for free to try it out.
