Dekupeo is laser and engraving CAM built around the actual workshop workflow, not around a graphical editor as existing tools. Define material, mass-import parts, let true-shape nesting minimize waste, generate g-code and run. Offcut detection: Snap a photo of scrap wood to nest inside it. Alignment: Photo-align engravings on parts automatically. Gamepad: Jog axes via Bluetooth controller. Fleet: Manage multiple lasers from one screen. Windows/Linux, Lifetime license + Free Community version.

An engineering physicist, a woodworker and a software developer walk into a workshop to run a laser...
Sounds like the start of a bad joke, but it is how Dekupeo was born.
My background is in Engineering Physics and I worked in corporate R&D. Two years ago, I left the office to become an independent woodworker and software developer.
When I got my laser, I found out that existing CAM does not meet my needs. I wanted to cut parts designed in CAD, not to tackle layers in grapical editor interface. I created my own tool for part nesting and running the laser.
Gradually, I generated many precious offcuts. It was impossible to re-use them reasonably, so I had to come up with sheet autodetection.
Later, one customer did not like burned edges. Good motivation for adding router mode...
Finally, it meets needs of my workshop. What about yours?
