Deed

👋 Hey Product Hunt - nice to meet you! And thank you @katmanalac and @ycombinator for the hunt! My cofounders @aske_ertmann and @steve_liu8, along with our incredible teammates, created Deed - we make it easy for employees at companies like Airbnb and Stripe to find, donate, and volunteer with their favorite charities. In order to recruit and retain employees today, companies need to support their philanthropic efforts but have no easy or engaging way to do so. So we built a beautifully designed, employee (not HR) focused platform that makes it easy for people to do good deeds and for companies to match, track, and share their collective impact. Our product is focused on the employee and not the HR admin. This means we've built features like a Slackbot to meet employees where they are, gamification and social features to help recognize and motivate employees to do more good, and bottoms up content creation for employees to take the lead on company-wide projects within cause areas they care about. It's brilliant! Do you have any stories - or data - to back-up how it works? I found something a while ago which was along the lines of "70% of millennials are more likely to work somewhere if they believe that it's making a positive environmental impact" (or something like that, I've paraphrased!). Have you been able to quantify the hiring/retention benefit yet? @katmanalac @aske_ertmann @weronika_terpilowska ?makers

I know Deevee, Steve and the whole Deed team since almost 2 years now, as I have led the pre-seed investment from Paua Ventures. I have to say that I am very proud of everything that Deed has become and I am convinced that Deed will make the world a better place by empowering companies and their employees to do good.

Great product! I recently introduced them to a charity and setting up process is super smooth, much more that the system I have seen in the past when I tried to do the same.
