We'd waste weeks in discovery only to realize: - The process only runs a few times per year - Manual work takes 10 minutes but automation would take 40 hours to build - The real bottleneck isn't the process—it's waiting for approvals - SharePoint or Power Automate could solve it (but we were focused on RPA) Meanwhile, finance teams kept rejecting good automation projects because our Excel ROI models looked like black boxes. They couldn't verify our assumptions, so they defaulted to "no."
