I built Dealo because I kept losing track of discount links buried in
YouTube video descriptions. Every sponsored product mention says "the
discount link is in the description" — but finding it again later meant
digging through the same video all over.
So I started collecting these links myself, organized by category
(beauty, food, lifestyle, appliances), with discount rates and deadlines
visible at a glance. It's a small side project, currently live with 22
deals and growing daily.
Would love any feedback!

Love that this pulls together YouTube promo codes into one place, that description scraping is super useful. One thing I'd love to see is price history tracking so I can tell if a "40% off" deal is actually a good price or if it goes lower on Black Friday type sales. Would save me from impulse buying stuff that gets cheaper later.

@etin2yrt Thanks for checking dealo out, Çetin! That's a really good point — a "40% off" claim doesn't mean much without knowing the price history behind it. We don't have price tracking yet, but it's exactly the kind of feature that would make the deals feel more trustworthy. Adding it to our list — appreciate the idea!

One thing that would be really useful is a browser extension that automatically scans YouTube video descriptions as you watch and highlights any dealo discounts right next to the video player, so you don't have to leave the page to check the app.

@agaoglumet30725 Thanks, Metehan! You and Emre are both pointing at the same pain point — having to leave the video to check for a code. A browser extension that surfaces dealo discounts right next to the player would solve that nicely. Not something we're building right now, but it's clearly the top request so far — noted!

the way you can see discount rates and deadlines right next to each deal is honestly so helpful, no more squinting at tiny text in youtube descriptions

@havavyad Really glad that's landing well for you, Hava! That was actually one of the things we cared about most — no one wants to hunt through a video description for tiny text. Thanks for taking the time to say so!
