Instagram taught me to perform for strangers. DayTake is the opposite. The idea is brutally simple: one notification a day, at a random time. Take ONE photo. No filters, no retakes. You get 60 seconds to fix a mistake, then it's locked forever. You can't curate your past. What happens when you miss a day? The timeline shows a grey gap. That's not a bug — it's the point. Empty days are part of your story too. I genuinely believe missing a photo is more honest than faking one. Under the hood: SwiftUI + Core Data + CloudKit, with Apple Foundation Models running fully on-device. Your photos never leave your phone. No tracking, no third-party backend — your year belongs to you. At the end of the year, all 365 moments render into a personal documentary film. That's the reward for a year of showing up honestly.
