A calorie tracker for iPhone where you just say what you ate. Daylory turns "two eggs, avocado toast and a latte" into foods, amounts, calories and macros, and you check them before logging. It uses official data (USDA, CIQUAL, Open Food Facts) when it exists and flags estimates. Barcode and label scanning, no account, and it's adapted for iPhone Duo.

Hey Product Hunt 👋 I'm Miguel. I've been a Java developer in Spain for years, and with the help of AI I've finally been able to build iOS apps on my own too. Daylory is one of them.
I built it because I kept quitting calorie tracking. Not because of the diet, but because of the logging: searching every ingredient, picking the right "olive oil" out of 40 results, guessing grams. So I made logging as short as I could: you say "a Greek yogurt and two slices of toast with olive oil", Daylory splits it into foods and amounts, you glance at it and tap log.
A few things I cared about:
- AI is at the core of the app. But most of my work went into fighting the LLM to make it as deterministic as possible: when a food is in official databases (USDA, CIQUAL, Open Food Facts) the numbers come from there, and home-cooked dishes are marked as estimates.
- No account. Your diary lives on your iPhone and in your own iCloud.
- Barcode and nutrition-label scanning for packaged food.
- It has been adapted to iPhone Duo from day one: unfolded, the main screens use both pages. Honestly, that was one of the hardest parts.
It's a subscription, with a free week to try it. Available in English, Spanish, French, German and Italian.
I'd really like honest feedback on the voice logging: what would you need to see to trust the numbers?
