🚀 Hey Product Hunt! 🚀 I’m thrilled to introduce Date Talk to you all. This has been quite the journey, especially for someone like me—a marketeer with little coding experience. But with a lot of help from ChatGPT, I’ve managed to build this AI-powered WhatsApp bot, and I’m excited to share it with you today! 👥 Who It’s For: Online daters looking to practice and improve their conversation skills in a fun, no-pressure environment. Those curious about AI and how it can mimic real-life interactions. Marketers interested in how AI can be leveraged to create engaging customer experiences. ✨ Key Features: Mimics a Tinder/Bumble/OkCupid match, creating an experience that feels real and engaging. Helps users practice their conversation skills. Built-in AI ensures responses are dynamic and varied, making every interaction unique. 📖 My Story: As a marketeer, coding was never in my wheelhouse, but I was fascinated by the potential of AI. With ChatGPT as my guide, I dove into the world of coding, one step at a time. There were many late nights, countless bugs, and moments where I questioned if I could pull this off. But each challenge was a learning experience, and eventually, I saw the pieces start to come together. This bot isn’t just a project—it’s proof that with the right tools, anyone can bring their ideas to life. I wanted to create something that’s not only fun but also offers real value, whether you’re looking to improve your social skills or just want to see what AI can do. 🎯 My Goals: Feedback: I’m particularly interested in hearing what you think about the bot—how it works, where it could improve, and any features you’d love to see. Validation: Does this project have the potential to grow into something bigger? Your insights could be crucial in shaping its future. 💬 Pricing & Special Offers: The bot is completely free during this beta phase. Your feedback is all I ask in return! Feel free to ask any questions or share your thoughts—this is a learning process, and I’m eager to hear what you think. Thanks for taking the time to check out my project. I can’t wait to hear your feedback and see where this journey takes us! 🌟 Cheers, Baris

Congrats on launching Date Talk, @kocdur! It sounds like a super interesting tool for online daters. I’m curious about the AI's conversational abilities—how well does it handle tricky topics or disagreements? Also, have you considered integrating feedback features where users can rate their interactions? That might help enhance the bot's development and user experience. Looking forward to seeing how this evolves and if it can pivot into other areas, like professional networking! Is there a plan for potential monetization post-beta?

Hi, @isabellarosewilson thanks so much for your thoughtful comment and for checking out Date Talk! The AI’s conversational abilities have been a primary focus, especially when it comes to tricky topics or disagreements. While the bot can handle a wide range of topics, it’s definitely still learning. For delicate situations or disagreements, it tends to err on the side of being neutral or redirecting the conversation—something we’re continuously working to refine. It’s a balance between being engaging and staying appropriate, which is always an ongoing challenge with AI. The idea of integrating feedback features is a great suggestion! I’m already gathering feedback from beta testers to enhance the bot, but having an in-app rating system could add valuable real-time insights. Definitely something I’ll look into more closely. As for other applications like professional networking, that’s a super interesting area to explore! The goal right now is to see how well this concept works for casual interactions, but I do think the underlying conversational AI could have applications in other contexts as well—whether it’s networking, learning, or other similar areas. Right now, I’ve actually paused adding more features because I really need user feedback to know which direction to go in next. The feedback I get now will shape what gets built next, so I’m desperately in need of testers to point out what’s working, what’s not, and what could be improved. Thanks again for your interest and your thoughtful questions—it really helps shape the direction as we evolve! Cheers,

Congratulations, Baris! 🎉 It’s inspiring to see your journey from marketing to creating such an impactful AI-powered bot like Date Talk. This could really revolutionize the way online daters interact and practice their conversation skills! The integration of dynamic AI responses is a game-changer for mimicking real-life chats. I love that you’re getting feedback during the beta phase. That's a smart move, it really shows that you value the community's input in improving the user experience. I can see a lot of potential in this project—an exciting blend of personal development and technology. I'm curious about the scalability of the bot. Once you gather feedback, will you consider adding more diverse scenarios or maybe even expanding beyond dating apps? Keep up the great work, excited to see where this goes!

@star_boat thank you for your encouraging words, do you think I should gamify the whole process?
Star Boat
@kocdur Yes, I think you should gamify the entire process. Gamification can increase user engagement and make learning or problem-solving more enjoyable and interactive.

@ezshine Thank you so much for the support and the upvote! 🚀 It's been quite an adventure transitioning from marketing into the world of coding and AI. The goal was always to create something that feels natural and actually adds value for online daters. Mimicking real interactions felt like the best way to help people practice in a way that’s both fun and meaningful. I’m really eager to see how users respond during this beta phase. The feedback will be crucial in shaping where Date Talk goes next. I’m holding back on big feature plans until I see what people find most valuable, it’s all about refining based on real-world experiences now. I have already tried this and it is so fun:) You can talk however you like and if you are bored, just restart and have conversation with a completely different 'person'. As a user, my first thought was even though I know it's a bot, it can hold the conversation as if it is a real person. I'm excited to see where it will go especially considering that the product is currently in beta. I'll be following the product here. As a marketer myself, and having one of my client in a dating niche, you gave me a completely new perspective that I have not thought before. This can be a completely new vision for the dating app industry. Also the fact that you are a fellow marketer, the product looks like it's in a good state even in beta. I'm impressed by your skills and dedication. How many people are you thinking of limiting for the beta phase? Please let me know about your learnings and get in touch with me as I can have help as a person that is interested&still working in this niche.

@emre_bilgin4 Thank you so much for trying it out and for the kind words! 🙌 It’s really nice to hear that you found the bot engaging and that it gave you a fresh perspective as a marketer, especially with your experience in the dating niche. Honestly, hearing feedback like this is super motivating because I built it with the idea of creating something that feels natural, even though we all know it’s an AI behind the scenes. The fact that you see potential in this for the dating app industry really resonates. I’ve been focusing on keeping it as fun and flexible as possible while also staying realistic with the limitations of a beta product. I have around 10 beta users now, and I’m thinking of keeping it open to maybe 50 users max to get diverse feedback without overwhelming myself. Your experience in this space could be super valuable, so I’d love to connect and exchange insights. Please feel free to share any thoughts, feedback, or even areas you think I should focus on improving. Let’s stay in touch, and thanks again for the encouraging feedback. Looking forward to seeing where this journey leads! 🚀
Congratulations on the launch, @kocdur ! I really think I need an app like this to help improve my offline dating communication skills. There have been so many times where I just didn’t know how to handle certain situations during a date. And, you know, sometimes it’s hard to tell if the other person is upset or just being playful, which has always been a challenge for me. I definitely need more practice to get better at this. All in all, I’m very excited about your app. Congrats again!

@bird_frozen Thank you so much for the kind words and for sharing your experience! 🙏 I totally get what you mean—sometimes it’s the subtle cues and tricky situations that are the hardest to navigate. That’s exactly why I wanted to create this bot. It’s all about giving people a space to practice without any pressure or awkwardness. The idea is that by interacting in a more casual setting, we can all get a bit more comfortable and confident when it really counts. I’m excited to hear that you’re interested in trying it out! Your feedback will be super valuable as I continue to refine and improve it. Thanks again for the support!
