Hi Product Hunt! 👋
Let's be honest: Modern dating apps are broken. We spend hours swiping left and right, judging people by a single photo, only to end up with burnout and shallow conversations. We built DateDrop to change that.
What is DateDrop?
It’s a compatibility-based matchmaking platform (starting with colleges!). Instead of browsing infinite profiles, you fill out a deep compatibility questionnaire about your values, interests, and personality.
How it works:
No Swiping: You can't browse users.
Weekly Drops: The algorithm curates matches for you. You get ONE high-quality match per week (e.g., every Tuesday).
Real Connections: It can prioritize compatibility over superficial metrics.
DateDrop team started this at Stanford and saw how much students craved a way to meet people without the "gamification" of dating. Now they are opening it up to more communities.
I'd love to hear your thoughts:
Do you feel "swipe fatigue" with current apps?
What’s the one thing you wish dating apps asked you about yourself? 💜
Happy Dropping!
