Hello Product Hunt! 👋 I'm Stefan, a mechanical engineer and the creator of CypherLens. I built this tool because I was frustrated with the fragmented workflow of preparing images for manufacturing. Standard photo editors treat everything as pixels, while CAD software is often overkill for simple image tasks. I needed something in between—a tool that respects real-world dimensions. CypherLens bridges that gap. It is an open-source hybrid editor designed specifically for Makers, CNC enthusiasts, and 3D artists. What makes it special? ⚙️ CNC Ready: It generates G-Code for raster engraving and exports DXF vectors directly from images. ✨ 3D Workflow: We integrated AI to generate high-quality Depth Maps & Normal Maps instantly—perfect for creating relief textures in Blender. 📏 Precision: A built-in calibration tool lets you measure distances in real millimeters, not just pixels. 🎨 Full Control: A complete layer system with opacity, blending, and AI background removal.
