Hi Product Hunt. I'm a fabricator in Newcastle upon Tyne, and I made CutNest because of one job.
We had 316 brushed stainless to order. The usual sum said 4 sheets. When the parts were nested properly they fitted on 3, and that sheet was worth £225. I wanted a tool that gives that answer in a minute, on a phone, without a big CAD package or a sign-up.
You enter the sheets or bars you buy, your kerf and your parts. It tells you what to order and what it costs, draws every sheet, and says when no layout could use fewer. Pro adds customer quotes from the layout, cut sheets, labels and DXF.
