I built CutCourier after getting frustrated with existing file transfer solutions. Here's why:
- The compression wait is real. I used to spend ages waiting for large files to compress into ZIPs before sending. With CutCourier, you just drag and drop your original files—no compression needed. Same upload time, better quality.
- Dropbox's sneaky compression. I discovered Dropbox was compressing my files unless I carefully selected the right download option. Their UI makes it easy to accidentally download lower quality versions. I wanted something straightforward—what you upload is exactly what you get back.
- WeTransfer's new license terms. This was the final straw. They recently updated their terms to allow them to use uploaded files for their own purposes. Your creative work shouldn't become someone else's asset.
