I was asked by a friend to help him fetch some YF market data. I got that done. Then, an accomplished retail investor in the Asian markets asked me if there was a place to quickly get some data off YF. I thought it was trivial enough to put on a straightforward UI on the backend I had built, and launched it in a week, culminating in csvmarkets.com.
