What's great

Most FinOps tools are just pretty dashboards that tell you how much money you lost yesterday. CSCloudSolutions stands out because it actually lets you take action and fix the waste directly from the UI.

Actionable remediation: We can set up automated VM power schedules, purge orphaned resources (unattached disks, IPs, NICs), and assign anomaly alerts to specific team owners instead of spamming a shared Slack channel.
Deep Azure billing insight: It catches blind spots that standard tools miss—like hidden costs in Network Watcher traffic analytics, idle Key Vault HSM instances, and wasted Entra ID licenses sitting on inactive accounts.
AI cost visibility: Having token tracking for Azure OpenAI right next to our standard infrastructure spend makes capacity planning so much easier.

It bridges the gap between finance reports and actual day-to-day engineering operations.

What needs improvement

The product itself is great, but the pricing model needs a rethink: charging by number of subscriptions hurts teams doing Azure right.

Anyone following Microsoft's Cloud Adoption Framework (CAF) isolates workloads across 5 to 15 subscriptions, even for modest monthly spends. Capping the base tiers at 2 or 3 subscriptions forces you into buying add-ons way too early.

Shifting the tiers to total monthly spend under management (or simply raising the subscription limits per tier) would remove that friction completely and make team rollout a no-brainer.

vs Alternatives

We compared it against Azure Cost Management and Vantage.

Native Azure Cost Management is free, but it's purely descriptive—it shows graphs, but offers zero automated governance or cleanup workflows.

Vantage has a slick UI, but like most multi-cloud tools, it is strictly read-only: it alerts you, but your team still has to manually log into the Azure portal to clean up the mess. It also doesn't go deep into Azure-specific services. We chose CSCloudSolutions because we needed an operational platform that helps engineers remediate waste, not just another monitoring screen.
