Hey Product Hunt, Vibhanshu here. My friend and I built Crux. We kept wishing our computer could keep working while we weren't sitting at it. So we built a personal AI that lives on your desktop, has your files and tools, and actually does the work, not just chats about it. A few things we focused on: • It has an overlay mode that sits on your screen and helps with whatever you're working on, no switching between apps. • You can reach it remotely from WhatsApp, Telegram, Discord and email, so it keeps working when you're away from your machine. • It's BYOK, so it runs on your own API keys or the subscriptions you already have like ChatGPT, Copilot or Grok. You can also use local models or the free ones built into the app, with 100+ providers supported. It's in beta and still early. The overlay mode is a game changer, I pulled it up while editing a spreadsheet and it just sat there ready without me losing focus. Local data was the big sell for me.
