Crumbongo turns the accessible cookie count of sites you choose into game currency. Harvest cookies, level up, customize Bongo, unlock habitats and companions, and play Monkey Climb and Cookie Stack. Everything stays local: no account, analytics, tracking, or gameplay backend. Cookie names and values are never stored or transmitted, and browser cookies are never modified.
Hey Product Hunt 👋
Crumbongo started from a weird little question:
What if the accessible cookie count of the website you're visiting could become game currency?
As far as I could find while researching the idea, I couldn't find another game built around that exact mechanic, so I decided to make one.
It started as a tiny experiment and gradually became a small local browser game with progression, pixel-art cosmetics, habitats, companions, stats, and two minigames: Monkey Climb and Cookie Stack.
The part I cared about from the beginning was keeping the mechanic privacy-conscious. Crumbongo only uses the number of accessible cookie records for gameplay. Cookie names and values are never stored or transmitted, browser cookies are never modified, and there is no account, analytics, tracking, or gameplay backend.
Crumbongo is still a very small independent project, so real feedback is incredibly useful.
I'd especially love to know:
Does the core idea make sense immediately, and what would you improve first?
Thanks for checking it out 🍪🐒
