LONG LOVE THE NEW FLESH!
Last year I was helping clear out a friend’s relative’s storage space in North Hollywood and we stumbled across something very special. The unit was packed full of boxes and furniture and had barely been touched since the late-1990s, so it was a bit like opening a time capsule. Among the various pop culture memorabilia, we opened one box that contained various deadstock Valentine’s Day card sets, the kind we used to give in elementary school. Most were themed around period icons/franchises like Michael Jordan, the CareBears, Jurassic Park, etc, and then one stack caught my eye. David Cronenberg Valentines? Really? As far as we can tell, yes. They seem to have been produced in 1992 by some company called Ephemerol Labs (if you have any info on what became of them, please get in touch) - perhaps as a promotion around the release of “Naked Lunch”?
In any case, they’re pretty edgy for schoolchildren so maybe that’s why they never caught on (or were never meant to). But now they are ours, and we wanted to share them with the world. We’ve scanned them all for you to email to your special someone this Valentine’s Day 2016

Due to popular demand, we may make physical reproductions - join waiting list by dropping me a line: samanthaculp (at) gmail
Please share with friends, sweethearts, stalkers, prophets of the new flesh, and anyone who might enjoy.
Happy (Cronenberg) Valentine’s!
